What a Standard Clean Actually Is
Most cleaning companies describe a recurring service in adjectives. We would rather show you the list, because the list is what determines whether you are happy on the fourth visit rather than just the first.
Our standard clean runs in five phases and always in the same order. That order is not arbitrary: dust falls, so every room is worked high to low, and floors are always last. Clean the floor first and you will be cleaning it again forty minutes later.
Phase 1 is an assessment, not cleaning. Before anything is touched, the cleaner checks that the power and water are on, confirms the house matches what was booked, photographs any pre-existing damage, checks drawers and under beds for anything left behind, and takes dated "before" photos of every area on the list.
That phase exists to protect you. If a scratch, a crack or a chipped tile was there before we arrived, it is documented with a timestamp before a single surface is wiped.
Phases 2 to 5 are the rooms: living spaces and bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen, and any extra rooms included in your booking. Every phase ends with trash and floors.
The visit finishes with a walkthrough. The cleaner reviews the whole list, takes the "after" photos, and asks you to sign off. If you are not home, the photos are uploaded and you get them anyway.
If a house has not had a professional clean in a while, the honest recommendation is to start with a deep clean and put the recurring schedule on top of that. A standard visit is built to maintain a level, not to recover one.

Where the Boundaries Are
A few things on our checklist carry an asterisk, and it is fairer to tell you about them now than to have a cleaner explain them at your door.
None of these are upsells in disguise. They are the difference between a two-hour visit that finishes properly and a two-hour visit that runs to four and still misses things.
- Within reach means without a ladder — high ceilings, tall shelves and second-story windows are out of scope on a standard visit
- Furniture is not moved, so carpets are vacuumed around it rather than under it
- Trash liners and clean linens have to be on site for us to use them
- Windows are cleaned from the inside only
- Laundry rooms, patios and garages are included only if you asked for them
- Inside the fridge and inside cabinets are deep-clean and move-out items, not standard ones
- A severely cluttered or hoarded house gets a call before cleaning, not a rushed attempt
